Foundations and the LawThis popular two-hour session conducted by Council legal staff examines the basic laws affecting program officer work. Concepts, tax sections, terms and grantmakers' fiduciary responsibilities are made more easily understandable to the nonlawyer. Special Lunch Program: Perspectives from a Foreign LandNicole Mones is the prizewinning author of two novels set in modern China, Lost in Translation and A Cup of Light. Her books explore culture, identity, ancestry and belonging, and they have been printed in nine languages. Join this local author as she shares her perceptions of being culturally different. Grantee Relations: Partnering for Sustained Social ChangeThis session examines the traditional role of program officers and partnerships with grantees.
