Blogs and Newsfeeds (TIF) - Sunday, May 7th, 1:30pm - 03:00pm
Weblogs, or "blogs," are now part of mainstream Internet culture. These online journals package news, commentary and knowledge management into compact headlines, abstracts and, often, links to deeper treatments of a topic. A parallel phenomenon is the emergence of standards to allow syndication of blogs and other streams into online news feeds that replace websites and e-mail newsletters as the choice of an information-flooded society. Whether you are new to blogs or already use them, you will leave this hands-on session with a deeper understanding of this tool after you create a personal blog and news feed.
