Why You Should Attend

If you’re working with a community foundation to bring about social change through grantmaking, then the Fall Conference for Community Foundations is a “must attend” event. Whether you’re on the board or in the office, this event is for people at all levels in the process.

If you’re new to the field of philanthropy, the conference is an excellent introduction to the basics of running and governing a community foundation—formally, through the sessions, and informally, through other board members and community foundation staff doing similar work.

For more experienced grantmakers, conference sessions are specifically designed to spark discussion on critical issues facing the world of community foundations.

So, whether you’re an experienced hand or new to the world of community foundations, the conference addresses a wide range of issues important to our field—working with donor families, creating a legacy society, effective communications, social change, working with the media and more.
