General Information

Attire

Conference attire is Hawaiian business attire. Called aloha attire, this informal dress mode reflects the island lifestyle, open-collared shirts with no ties for men and casual clothes for women. We recommend dressing in layers as meeting room temperatures vary.

Childcare

Guests of the Hilton Hawaiian Village may arrange childcare services directly through the hotel. The hotel also offers a club program for children called Keiki Club. This fun, interactive supervised program of Hawaiian cultural activities can be reserved for a full day (8:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.) or a half-day (8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. or 12:30–3:00 p.m.) for children ages 5 to 12. Advance reservations are required and space is limited. For information about either childcare or the Keiki Club, please check the website at www.hhvmciplanner.com/web/activities/children.html.

Council Policies

The Council on Foundations is firmly committed to fair employment practices, inclusiveness and the prohibition of sexual harassment of employees by staff, visitors or members. If you would like information on these and other policies, please contact the Council’s executive office.

Conference Resource Material

Continue your learning after the conference ends! The Council will provide every conference registrant with a CD-ROM containing references and resource material from conference sessions. You’ll find the CD-ROM in the conference tote bag you receive during check-in at the registration desk. All registrants will also receive an e-mail approximately 10 days before the conference with the online location of the conference resource material. You may preview or print session information before the conference.

Meals

Meals are included in your registration fee for the day(s) for which you have registered. Sunday includes breakfast and lunch. Monday includes breakfast, lunch and the evening networking event. Tuesday includes a continental breakfast and lunch. There will be a limited number of extra meal tickets available at the registration desk for individuals who are eligible for conference attendance.

Media

Members of the media should request press credentials from the Council on Foundations Media Relations department. For more information, please contact Jeff Martin, director, Media Relations, 202/467-0265.
