Family Foundation Conference

Dear Colleagues:

This year’s Family Foundation Conference is a tremendous learning opportunity. The new Stewardship Principles for Family Foundations are the blueprint for improving performance and raising the level of excellence throughout the family foundation field. The 2006 Conference offers concurrent sessions and plenary discussions that help you navigate your foundation’s course to success. Whether your foundation is large or small, staffed or board-managed, you’ll connect with peers, learn from experts and determine your course for implementing these voluntary principles.

Hawaii is a spectacular and unique setting for this family foundation conference. Formed by the meeting of many cultures, the state has an unusually long history of family philanthropy, providing an inspiring backdrop for grantmakers. On every island you’ll see innovations in resource management, environmental protection, education, healthcare, cultural preservation, child care and elder care.

Honolulu is truly a multicultural city, and we’ve incorporated its diversity into the conference as well. You’ll have many chances to experience Hawaii’s history, arts, people and philanthropy. Planned activities include a networking event at the Honolulu Academy of Arts and site visits around the island of Oahu. Pre-conference workshops and post-conference site visits across the Hawaiian isles offer even more learning opportunities.

Don’t miss this exciting moment in family philanthropy. See you in Honolulu!
